Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small pieces of information a website asks your browser to store. Local storage is a different browser feature that can keep information between visits. Both can support website functions; their purpose determines how they should be treated under applicable privacy rules.

This page describes the merchandise-selection feature and WordPress administration functions used by this website. For information about details you submit through an enquiry, read our Privacy Policy.

Remembering your merchandise selection

When you use the catalogue, the selection feature uses first-party local storage named merch365-catalogue-selection-v1. It records selected product IDs and the quantities you enter, so your choices can carry between catalogue pages and the project brief.

• Purpose: remembering the product selection you request.
• Provider: merch365.eu.
• Information: product identifiers and quantities; this entry does not hold your name, email address or project message.
• Duration: no automatic time-based expiry. It remains in that browser until updated, cleared or removed by the browser or user.

Removing a product updates the selection. Successful submission clears the selection in the browser. This feature is used to support your enquiry, not to track your activity across other websites.

WordPress login and administration

Authorised administrators who visit the login or administration area may receive WordPress cookies. These are separate from the public merchandise selection.

• wordpress_test_cookie checks whether the browser accepts cookies when signing in.
• wordpress_[hash], wordpress_sec_[hash] and wordpress_logged_in_[hash] support authentication and the signed-in session.
• wp-settings-[user] and wp-settings-time-[user] remember administrator interface preferences.
• wp_lang can remember a selected login language for the session.

Cookie names contain installation or user-specific values. Their lifetime can depend on WordPress settings, login choices and installed extensions. These administration cookies are not needed simply to browse the public catalogue or send a brief.

Analytics, advertising and external websites

The Merch365 theme and enquiry plugin supplied with this website do not include advertising pixels, optional analytics trackers or embedded social feeds. The catalogue’s saved selection is a functional feature.

Partner and social links open external websites. Those websites may set their own cookies when you visit them; their policies explain what they use.

If optional tracking or other services requiring consent are introduced, their purposes and choices must be explained before they are activated where consent is required. A cookie notice alone does not provide consent.

Your choices

You can remove cookies and local storage for merch365.eu through your browser’s site-data or privacy settings. Clearing the selection storage removes the saved product list in that browser. It does not delete an enquiry that has already been sent.

Blocking browser storage can prevent your selection from carrying between pages. You can still describe your requirements directly in the enquiry form or email sales@merch365.eu. Blocking authentication cookies may prevent administrators from signing in.
